With the year winding down I thought it would be nice to send one more newsletter. As always, thank you for showing interest in my books and writing career and for supporting me with your time and attention. 💛 🐉
What’s Coming in 2025?
Next year’s shaping up to be a big year for me!
The New Book! As you know, I recently completed the first draft of my next novel, which remains untitled for right now. I don’t have any news to share yet, but things are already moving. Expect lots more news in the coming months. Here are a few comments that my Alpha readers have shared with me after reading it:
“I loved it. It’s such an achievement. I can't read or listen to anything, my head and heart are too full.”
“I can't recall the last time I felt so caught up in a fantasy world, and I have missed this feeling.”
“It reads so quick for how massive it is. Even in its alpha phase, you’ve packed several Song of Ice and Fire books or Stormlights into a single volume and it FLOWS.”
Mystic’s 10-Year Anniversary: 2025 marks the 10-year anniversary of the book’s publication. Some exciting plans are brewing for this, but once again, I can’t share anything yet. (Sorry!)
WorldCon Seattle: I’ll be at WorldCon in Seattle next year, in August. Hopefully I’ll have a lot of exciting news to share by that time. It’ll be a great place to meet some of you if you attend.
Next Writing Project: I’ve already started poking at my next writing project, and 2025 will be a year that I put a lot of creative focus on it. It’s still in the early stages of development, but I love the idea and think it’ll be a perfect follow-up to my soon-to-be-announced book. It’s an entirely new world and a new series (probably, anyway) but I think it’s something unique.
Where to Get Signed Books
If you need a last-minute gift for a friend or loved one (or for yourself), you can purchase signed copies of my Mystic books from my local indie bookseller, A Seat at the Table Books. Order soon to receive them before Christmas!
When you order, please mention in the purchase notes whether you would like the book personalized to you or someone else or if you would just like my signature only.
Dragonsteel Nexus Wrap-Up
I returned from Dragonsteel Nexus feeling tired (and a little sick with ‘con crud’) but also with an overwhelming sense of excitement for the months and years ahead. I told a friend recently that I feel like my writing career is on the verge of a huge level-up. Being at Dragonsteel and meeting many of you in person only reaffirmed that the work I’m producing is resonating with you.
Here’s a quick selection of photos from the convention.

Stone Golem now available in eBook
In case you missed it, my short story, “The Stone Golem of Qual’Jom” is now available as an eBook on Amazon. It’s a quick read that might fit your cozy winter vibe. It’s a dark fantasy story with charm and deep themes.
I also have a limited number of printed editions of the book available. They aren’t available for sale online yet, but when they are, I’ll let you know. If they sell out and there’s demand for more, I’ll produce another printing.
Thank you!
Happy Holidays to all of you, and I’ll see you next year!
